Being a proud American.

When I think about what it means to be a proud American, I used to say absolutely very proud American. But with a lot of negativity about America coming around I have to admit for myself To be a good proud American is more than being loud about America. And that is where I have struggled for myself. There’s a lot of corruption and our governments. A lot of greed in our businesses now. And I can only chant freedom for so long, when ultimately as I get poorer I feel less and less free.

I can pick some arbitrary values at this point to be excited about come and call that America. But there’s part of me that wonders what about our history. Even as I write that line my mind it really goes to someone who shall remain nameless, well most of what we learn about history is a lie. And there is always a grain of truth with that. And that’s what we hope historians can sort out although we’ve seen them fine each other here lately more and more. Uh

So while trying to get credible sources for my history books and stuff like that carbon I shall endeavor more to tell stories from our history. They may not all be true, but I plan to do my best just sort it out. And what I hope to achieve out of this is that through my understanding of history I can create a bedrock in myself to being a proud American. Even with the warts and all in history.
